The clean for the day the keys change hands
A move is one of the few moments when your home is fully empty — no furniture in the way, no rugs hiding the floor, no cabinets stuffed with the contents of years of daily life. It’s the single best opportunity to clean every surface a home has, and the single worst day to do it yourself. Across the Atlanta metro — Buckhead, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Decatur, Alpharetta, and everywhere in between — we handle move-in and move-out cleans the same way: every cabinet, every appliance interior, every grout line, every corner. So your last day in one home closes properly, and your first day in the next one starts the way it should.

The clean that closes a chapter properly
Whether you’re selling a home, ending a lease, or simply moving on, the final clean is the last thing that gets done before the keys change hands. It’s also the cleaning that’s easiest to underestimate. With everything out of the home, every surface is visible — the inside of the oven that hasn’t been pulled apart in years, the back of cabinets that haven’t been emptied since you moved in, the grout in the bathroom under the bath mat that’s lived there since 2019. We clean all of it, top to bottom, with the same protocol we use for every deep clean.
Across thousands of move-out cleans in the Atlanta metro, we’ve learned exactly what realtors, buyers, and landlords look at during a walkthrough. The oven interior. The refrigerator gaskets. The inside of cabinets. Window tracks. Baseboards. Bathroom grout. We treat the home the way someone seeing it for the first time would inspect it — not the way someone who’s lived in it for years would look at it. The result: a home that looks like it deserves the price you’re asking, or the deposit return you’re owed.
After every move-out clean, we provide a completion checklist documenting what was done. Some clients photograph the home alongside our checklist and send both as part of the move-out documentation — useful for landlord deposit disputes, real-estate buyer-walkthroughs, or simply your own peace of mind. It’s not a magic shield, but it dramatically reduces friction with whoever inspects the home next.
Don’t inherit someone else’s mess
The other side of the move is just as important. You’ve closed on the home, picked up the keys, and you’re standing in your new place. It looks empty and clean — until you open a cabinet and find crumbs from the previous owner. Until you look inside the oven and see baked-on residue. Until you notice hair in the bathroom drain, dust in the closets, or a smell you can’t quite place coming from the laundry room. The previous owner may have “had it cleaned” before closing, but the standard for that is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes it’s a thorough deep clean. Sometimes it’s a quick surface wipe-down.
A move-in clean gives you a genuine fresh start. We treat it with the same thoroughness as a move-out — every cabinet, every appliance interior, every grout line, every corner. The best time to do it is before your furniture arrives, when we have full access to every wall, floor, and fixture. You move your things into a home that’s actually clean — not just clean enough to pass a quick glance. After paying what an Atlanta home costs, you deserve to start with a space that meets the standard.
We closed on our Buckhead house and the sellers had ‘had it cleaned.’ We did our own walkthrough and found grease on top of the cabinets, dust caked behind the refrigerator, and crumbs in every drawer. Evergleam did the move-in clean a week before our furniture arrived. The difference was night and day. Our kids walked into a home that genuinely felt new.
